Winter 2013-2014

Over the winter I was finally able to catch up on some of my needle felt commissions after a very busy growing season on the farm.  Here's a sampling:

Blue-Ringed Octopus

Barred Owl

Nubian Ibex

Mountain Gorilla

Wild Mustang

Fennec Fox

African Spurred Tortoise

American Crow

Magpie

    1. Hi Bonnie, If your crow has its wings folded then all you really need to do is have one wire going through the center of the body to which you attach the wires for the legs. If you're trying to make outstretched wings then you also have to have at least one wire along the top of the wings, also connected to the central wire. To connect the wires I just twist them around each other a bunch of times. I hope that helps!

  5. Extraordinary! The details seem almost impossible. I love crows, but I have to say, I'm probably most impressed with the octopus. With a wire in each skinny arm has to be a nightmare. Then you went the extra mile, adding pattern and texture. I wish you all the best success!
